Software Engineering Manager (Potomac Falls, Virginia):

Assume executive technical responsibilities over the design and development of client/server web, business intelligence and reporting applications for the human resources (HR) industry; manage development of HR, workforce management, and other applications and data warehouse architecture using J2EE, .net, HTML, JavaScript, Adobe Flex, and Adobe Flash languages, Oracle, MySQL & MS SQL databases, Business Objects & Cognos business intelligence products, and Kimball data warehousing methodology; analyze and model industry-specific business processes to develop efficient, value-added improvements; monitor market to assess opportunities for productizing existing or new services to existing clients or new markets; actively participate in pitching new business; interact with the client employees at every level to comprehensively assess business conditions and requirements; & define KPIs for programs and translate those into metrics and analytical requirements for business intelligence solutions to enable clients to monitor and achieve those KPIs. Manage teams of 10 – 20 software developers, business analysts & data warehouse developers.

Must have at least 4 years experience as a software engineering manager, including 4 years of concurrent experience on HR or workforce management projects and in managing teams of 10 or more software development professionals.
